Plymouth and Eden Priarie have the best school districts and a good amount of desis.
The winters are quite harsh and long. It starts to get cold around October and gets better only around June. Before I moved here, I had read a funny Dave Barry strip in which he talks about the best time to visit MN being June through Sept. I thought he was being funny - turns out to be quite true!
But the locals are some of the nicest, kindest and warmest people I've ever met in my stay in the US. The pace of life is slow and easy. If you're moving from either of the coasts, you will find it quite laid back here.
A few Indian stores, not too many great indian restaurants and a harsh winter are the only cons I can think of. Other than that, I love this place.
