Gifts/ideas for housewarming--

Hello Group,
We have few invitations from friends/families for their housewarming. I've looked up online and this forum for gifting ideas, but still i don't have any concrete thoughts on what to give to them. I don't want to give gift cards and they don't expect that either.
So, can you share your experiences/ gifts for
1.Friends/Indians -USA
2.Friends/non Indians -USA
3.Friends/Families-India
