Hi,

My spouse is a house-wife, and may choose to remain so in future. As long as I remain employed, her medical insurance is taken care of. What happens when I retire? Will she receive medicare with me? In one of the earlier posts, someone seems to think so.

If that is the case, what really is the criteria for receiving medicare? If I get USC, and sponsor GC for my parents, will they be also covered by medicare?

In case the answer is no, what is the way to insure my retired wife and parents in USA?

There are a number of threads on Social Security. I suggest you do a search and post your question in one of those threads.

I don't find any Social security threads in the "Living Abroad" forum, If they are elsewhere, can you please direct me to them.

Also there are no threads that I was able to find regarding Medicare/Medicaid or other insurances for Green card parents.

If you have worked 40 quarters in US, you and your wife both will get Medicare. Nothing to worry.

It is altogether a different story for your parents, if you sponsor them. Read an interesting article at [ deleted by admin - CoC Violation] that specifically addresses Medicare and health insurance related issued to new immigrants.
