Based on last year's I am starting a new thread for 2012.

Do you guys have anything in mind for 2012 BF/CM? We are looking for a sweet Nexus 10/Note 10.1 tab and an SLR. Any recommendation for an SLR for an intermediate photographer?

I am looking for a low cost 27" TV to have in bedroom. Since, this is not my primary TV, cost is the main criteria. Don't need bells and whistles.

Good thinking, no need to get bells and whistles...you are buying a TV not a pressure cooker.

I got power back after about 10 days. I think that if you live in severe weather area, get a generator, and hook up switch to power different parts of the home.

Has anybody got ultrbook convertible? What is your opinion on it, did you like it? Is it better to buy a tablet than a convertible ultrabook?

This may not be a BF deal but I wanted to let some of our techy members know about a Groupon deal where you could get a complete CCNA/CCNP training package on Groupon for $99. The deal expires today. I checked out the web for some reviews on this deal and it appears like its a great buy. So, checkout Groupon and if you want to get your CCNA certification, this could be really useful to you.

The original advertised price for this training package is $3295 but is sold for $99. :)

If it's too good to be true, it probably may not be true.

If you shop around you can find something for less then $200. I would suggest that you go for at least 32".

Here is a deal for 47" LG 47CM565 1080p 60Hz 3D LCD HDTV + 2 Sets of 3D Glasses $398.

I would not go with 60Hz for 47". It will just make for bad viewing.
