Hi...we are in the process of r2i. Wife and kids have returned to India a month back. I am planning to go back in a month. I have to sell the car but the title includes my wife's name as well. Would it be a big trouble as she is not here to sign? What are my options? I am in North carolina and state requires Notarization for title transfer.

You could try selling it on Craigslist. Do you have all other documents? By the way, you should share your experience of R2I'ing. Good luck.

Checked with DMV and a power of attorney notarized by US consulate is required. The form is on the DMV site.

never mind. NC does not seem to have either/or in ownership titles.
