:emembarrassed: HI,
I have a slightly different question.
We are living in US and have been here for more than 6 yrs now. Bought a Serta pillotop mattress from costco. We are not comfortable sleeping in it at all. It produces a lot of body heat while sleeping on it. Even during winter, it makes us very warm.
Now we are thinking of dumping this mattress and going for an indian mattress available thru some indian shops. The good old coir mattress which is made of natural fibres which they say is good for air circulation etc.
Any body in similar shoes??
Want to sleep in a good bed for a couple of years more before returning. Sleeping on comforter on the floor sucks big time in America !!!
Thanks,
Kuyil.

None said it's wrong to sleep on the floor. Pretty much thats what one can do when they are not willing to spend enough money for themselves on buying a good quality mattress.

I agree with you partly. You buy the most expensive ones and they fall apart too maybe later than sooner.

I have been looking for a firm mattress similar to coir mattresses. We just bought a box a new box spring mattress. It felt good at the store, but when I get up in the morning I have a back ache. Not sure if its my age, or all the motorcycle rides messing up my back for good.
Very often I find myself sleeping on couple sleeping bags on the carpet. If there are good firm mattreses for around $1K I would appreciate opinions on them.

We use a Simmons BeautyRest plush pillow top mattress and we are very much pleased with that. I normally tend to get body and back aches when I dont sleep in good mattress. This one resolved my issue.

You can try "Tempurpedic" mattresses. Some people love it and others hate it. But you can try it hassle free for 90 days . If it doesnt work out you can return it. I have tempurpedic and it is wonderful. Its very firm and I love it.

Mattress problems again. I hate the mattresses in the USA. They are comfortable in the store and moment you sleep on them at home, all kinds of back pains start. There was a kurl on bed I bought in India which had a layer of coir and memory foam, about 2 inches high. It was very comfortable. Any idea if kurl on is available in USA or if it can be shipped at a reasonable price?

Not sure of kurl on.. but if you looking for memory foam bed or a memory foam layer, check out costco.. They have both of those..
