Does anyone have any experience with 'preferred banking' products like ICICI NRI edge / AXIS NRI priority banking?

ICICI bank is offering to convert to NRI Edge my current NRE account with free internationl Debit card, free travel accident cover, priority banking, personal advisor, etc. etc. Is there any hidden charge? Any one has any experince?

Why dont you point blank ask the banker about all charges ?

Read the ebrochure on the link thoroughly. It's in small font for a reason :) There are a lot of service fees listed on page 17.
1 example: Average quarterly balance of INR 1 lac or 3 lacs at customer id level needs to be maintained. If it goes below 15K at account level or 25K at cust id level, then there is a penalty of INR 750. When the customer service rep called, he didnt mention anything about these fees or penalty even after I asked multiple times. Guess they are mainly here for business so they can get some commission!
We didnt go for NRI Edge mainly for these numerous hidden service charges.

Only exception to this NO rule to NRI edge would be....In my mind...if you are going to transfer a large amount of $ to your NRE/NRO ac..
I was told by an ICICI fellow that...
The Edge customers get a preferred rate of conversion..usually a rupee or so higher per dollar than the regular guys.
