True. I am looking for a Hyderabad based CPA who can help me deal with local IT authorities to get tax refunds. Any one know a good (reasonably priced) CA/Tax professional?

Hello,
I am looking for a CA in India who has knowledge about US taxes and is able to file my US tax before April 15th this year. I am in Pune but can travel anywhere in India to meet with him/her for US tax filing.
My US tax situation is complex since I am a USC having a business in India which generates income from the US. I also have investment properties in the US, 401k, stocks etc. Thus I need a tax planner who is really knowledgeable about US taxes and can file my US tax return from India. I have my US tax CPA but I do not want to make a special trip to the US just to file my taxes. I r2i last May after 14 years in the US.
I noticed the ad of USIndiatax.com on R2iclubforums website. I went to their website and found that they provide services like filing your US taxes etc. Has anyone used their services ? They claim to have good knowledge of US tax laws and Indian tax laws.
Thanks.

I recommend the following. You may talk to Mr. Kumar. He is well versed in Indian and US taxes. He is CA qualified both in India and USA

I spoke to guys at usindiatax.com. They seem to be helpful. ( disclaimer: I have not used their services. ) They can help you to file taxes at both countries, India and US, that way you dont need to talk to two different companies to do taxes.
Of course, we all know Rajesh ( femaonline.com ) as an expert in Indian taxes. He is one of the best in the industry. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Bantu,
I was in similar situation as you and looked around. I talked to many firms from KPMG (very professional but very expensive) to Grand Thornton (still very good but less expensive) to every street side CA I could reach.
I now have a decent guy who is both a CA and CPA to file my US tax return from India. I knew him as a CA for about 9 years now.
He currently runs a small BPO for filing taxes (4 CPAs and 11 CAs). They file taxes and SOX compliance etc for US companies and do taxes for US individuals from India and can also do it for people based in India. He is based in Delhi.
For a straight 1040 based MFJ return, his charges start at about $15. If you are interested PM me and I will pass on his information.
