Need advice on investments in the US

Post by XfactorAK »

Hi Friends,
I have saved around 100K in the US and returned to India last year.I will need the money in 3-4 years when my son goes to the college there.I need advise from the financial experts to suggest me how do I make most of my saved money. In other words, how do I keep this money invested in the US and get the best returns?

Is it possible to park the money and invest in USA while staying in India?

Appreciate your help and thanks for your valuable time.

[h=2]Need advice on investments in the US[/h][INDENT]I am a day trader. Just to brief you, The market runs from 09:30 to 16:00 EDT at N.Y.Stock Exchange. From your work if you can make it back before 08:00 or 5:30 P.M. in India, you can get yourself ready to practice trading for a few good hours from your end. Believe me, it is not that easy and so it will take a few months to years before you get all of the gumption to do it and gain some confidence. Only time will tell if it is suitable to your liking.

Normally people get into Mutual funds and make some gains into this financial world. It has its own good points and if it is what you are looking for or aim for similar gains, say from 10%-20% per anum, then, that will be par for that course. GOOD Day traders make a lot more. I am sure that as a beginner you can slowly move up to the top range quickly and how fast depends upon your grasp of the markets and the keen interest that you will be showing in your learning.

Needless to say, this is a life long learning experience and it is good education, also it needs your investment into it and it is your time and money too. You can equate it at a later date when you are way ahead in the game. Initially you are entering into a tunnel and I also felt that I was inside a mushroom farm. Now my signature tune is "IKan see clearly now that rainsgone" . It does not mean it makes money for me, BUT when I sit at the trading desk, I DON'T Lose!

When I am swinging my Irons here in the open, after I call it a DAY, you can do the same there at night. Now HOWZAT for an ounce of courage.

I don't know if you smoke, but put that in a pipe* for starters. Alternately get your thinking cap on.

Freddie.
