Medallion signature guarantee - How to get this in Chennai?

I am trying to transfer some retirement assets from one custodian to another. The original custodian is asking for Medallian signature guarantee. I checked with BoA here in Chennai. They only do corporate customers and no retail customers. I called ICICI, they have no idea about it, but said, if I bring the form, they can sign it. Not sure. Will this be accepted.

Did anybody managed to get this done from India?

Forget about local ICICI bank rep giving this guarantee.

I talked to the custodian financial institution and they are saying the other alternative is to get it stamped from US Consulate. I do not know how easy that will be.

BTW, I sent a PM to you as discussed.

Hi Chennai-Vasi:

Any updates on the Medallion from India? I am in the same boat! Could you figure out the procedure in India. My IRA is also 'stuck' as I am unable to furnish medallion signature.

Thanks,
Raman

Hi, any update here? Does anyone know how to get the medallion guarantee in India? (Specifically, any information about Pune/Mumbai will be great.)
