Hi,

I am trying to buy a property in india and applying for a loan. LIC is asking for notorized payslips. Enyone ever heard or done this? If you know or have done this in the past can you please let me know how to do it.

I have been to banks, post office, attorney etc. No one can notorize just a copy of a payslip.

Thanks and appreciate your response.

I suggest you getting a letter from the employer with a contact phone number. That may help.

If you are a AAA member, you can get most documents notarized in their office for free - most AAA offices have a notary in their office. Call them and ask before going to the office.

In the case of your payslip, they should be able to attest it as a true copy. They will ask you to sign the photocopy before the notary signs it and attaches their seal.

Hope that helps.

Make a copy of your payslip and take it to any UPS store and they will notarize the xerox copy after seeing the original payslip.

Any bank will notorize a copy of payslip. Just take the originals with you.

Dear Stekkem,
1. Alternatively , your pay slips in original may be sent to a resident friend / relative in India.
2. Photocopies may be taken of the original pay slips and the resident friend may approach a Notary Public who will attest the copies as "Certified True Copies".
3. If need be more than pay slips may be put together.
4. The same may be submitted in due course to the LIC.

Best wishes.
