I was reading up on Blockchain technology and got pulled into Cryptocurrencies. There are tons of them out there and some of the websites I clicked which do transactions look like Japanese language.
Has anyone bought cryptocurrencies? Which site is recommended? Which currency is recommended and why?
Are these like penny stocks and just a fluke or is there a method to the madness.
Please help, I want to become rich and attain FI in 1 year as opposed to 15 year formula given by a forum member. :)

All the reasons he gave is the whole reason why it is working and it is attractive. It is not susceptible to hacking, it is not centralized and removes middleman. These are the attributes of block chain and not bit coin. Maybe the Prince wants it to fail, I did not see him give a compelling reason.

Coinbase.com . Investing in cryptocurrencies at this point is highly speculative. Do it with less than 1% of your portfolio.

Doesn't the Saudi guy owns huge shares in Citibank or some other Wall St Banks? Probably he is more threatened by blockchain!

Yes he is the second largest investor well over a billion dollars. Block chain is a neat technology, he is probably afraid of the BTC

Really, you want financial advise to invest 50-60 bucks :p
bitcoin is just a speculative thing right now. Its right there with gold, its price is anything the buyer wants to pay.
Time to invest in bitcoin was about 7-8 years ago when it was selling for 25 cents or less. You may have retired with the help of 50-60 bucks investment :)

Not advice, just a discussion or someone to spoon feed how the value of altcoins work. I saw one which is at 20 cents. Of course, I can always put my money like in a roulette :) So far it looks like penny stock investment.
Bit coin has only an upward graph so far, mostly. It did fall in the last month or so from 6000 to 5800
