Anyone here been through Isha Inner Engineering course taught by Sadhguru. I have listened to some of his speeches and they made lot of sense to me. They charge you $300 but I think they use that money for good causes so it's kind of donation.

Lot of my friends in my circle have done it and they like it. Of all the crooks in this business, he cares and does more for the environment.

I liked the part where he talks about discarding what was preached thousands of years ago, and looking at things in a modern way. No philosophy, no beliefs, and be in the pursuit of well being. Also liked his project green hands. Not a fan of anything related to divine/god though
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LdF6Wz4yWg There is a course coming up in Long Beach. What do these courses cost?

My understanding is 300 bucks, you have to finish online course before you can do the two day meditation/Yoga course with Sadhguru.

Isn't Yoga thousand+ years old? What I read here is yoga.

I have taken the inner engineering course and also another one. They are all excellent. IMO, they are worth every penny.

Sure, people loved to live then, and they do now. In general, talk about worshipping something and divine talk would be a turn off (for me). Perhaps I should mute all such talk, and just see what he has to say about yoga from a fitness perspective.

Yoga is not just about physical fitness if that is what the most recent post meant when there is mention of 'Fitness'. Most of the illnesses at the physical level are manifest from something beneath the surface at another level/sheath
Annamaya Kosha - Physical Level
Pranayamaya Kosha - Prana Level
Manomaya Kosha - Mind Level
Vigyanamaaya Kosha - Intellect / Rational Level
Anandamaya Kosha - Bliss Level
Most of the Yoga, Meditation, Rekhi, Pranic Healing deal with one of the levels and being able to do some improvement at that level.
IMHO all these are finally working towards self realisation and there are infiinite ways of reaching the final goal. So if anyone says I will show the way and this is the only way or even this is the best way then do not believe him/her completely.
To quote a great person on this 'For if you are meditating then upon what do you meditate ... Medidate on God ?. Meditate on Money ?. Understand the meditator first and why the meditator wants to medidate then meditation will happen automatically'

Are Indians/south Asians allowed in the course? Any automatic gratuity added to $300?
Just asking as I don't see many Indians on their website.

I like it. Yes, its pretty difficult to meditate on God or on signs that say 'Om' or even on breathe. However, how does one meditate on money? or a pretty woman? Imagine yourself in a pool of money like Uncle Scrooge?

I am certainly not looking to cure any illness at physical or mental level. I had attended a crash course where a young lad taught Yoga as pose1, pose 2 etc without much talk/lecture. He also taught basic meditation techniques before and after the asanas/pose.
I just do not appreciate any show of superiority, of being in the know of the way to self realization, inner peace, inner quiet, etc. First he would need to explain what these words mean. Sitting still at ease, with thought control is proven to lower the puse rate and increase the oxygen supply, it does feel good afterwards. Equating this to have realized something external, like the vibrations from some other planet/stars is just hogwash. Such talk will put my head into overdrive, with thoughts of aggressively arguing against it. :)
