2.5B annual customer interactions. [24]7 is seeking a highly motivated and successful Director of Cloud Infrastructure and
Operations to execute on the overall Infrastructure Strategy and Roadmap to deliver Intuitive
Customer Experience through next generation Multi-Channel Multi-Modal Solutions that use
Prediction Services, Speech Personalization, Big Data, Web Mining, Text Mining & IVR
Platforms at the core. We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about building best
in class analytics driven technologies and SaaS platforms that are highly scalable and reliable.
The Director of Cloud Infrastructure and Operations will report to Vice President, Network
Operations, with specific responsibilities including:
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of engineers and technicians responsible for the Servers, Storage, Big
Data and Datacenter Architecture & Operations for SaaS based product suites.
Maintain the hardware and software Infrastructure stack for high-volume (million+ TPS),
mission-critical (24x7x365), Internet-scale application with four-9?s of uptime
Design, deployment, and administration of cloud based infrastructure environments.
Perform capacity planning functions and develop operating budgets for private cloud
based services
Provide ongoing technical and leadership expertise in supporting the Data
Center operations, including proactive evaluation of growth and scalability requirements
Evaluate and implement IT procedures, operations and equipment selection for
maximum efficiency, cost containment, and uptime.
Maintain infrastructure design standards, ensure they are documented and up to date,
and lead efforts to take new technologies into stack on continual basis as appropriate.
Experience supporting a wide range of technologies, including open-source, internally
developed custom applications, commercial and cloud in an efficient and automated
manner
Experience with automation (Puppet, Chef, etc.) and monitoring (Nagios, Cacti, Ganglia
etc.) technologies in production setting
Point of responsibility for datacenter and application incidents, expansion and capacity
planning, and server and network equipment deployment and provisioning
Development and enhancement of Data Center SOP documentation and process,
including emergency response, and physical security management, and disaster
recovery
Ensures hardware and software is maintained and data center sites are secured through
proper security audits, back-ups, code releases and patches, and staff training.
Provide reports on system performance and capacity, forecasting usage to assist in
Capacity Planning and designing future infrastructure expansion and purchases
Oversee implementation of service methodologies including incident management,
problem management, change management, capacity management
Must be able to function in fast-growing, highly dynamic startup environment.
Comfortable and experienced coping with tremendous growth over a short period of
time.
Must be familiar with data center operations in a global organization, and be ready to
manage simultaneous, complex, difficult and conflicting projects in different parts of the
world with evolving requirements and tight resourcing
Forecast staff needs, coaching, motivating and developing team member capabilities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
5+ years? experience in SaaS offerings and Cloud infrastructure Operations
5+ years? experience with system and network monitoring tools, log management,
deployment tools.
5+ years of tuning production systems to improve scale and performance.
Experience with management of private or public cloud-based environments
Experience with cloud based ( SaaS , Amazon EC2) deployment scenarios
Experience with automated provisioning and configuration management of servers in
mission critical production environments
Strong grasp of security concepts and current technology including firewalls, intrusion
detection systems, anti-malware and antivirus technologies, VPN and encryption.
Understanding of network design, including IP communication, packet structure, and
routing protocols, in a high volume Internet scale environment.
Holistic understanding of the Internet and hosting from the network layer through
application layer
