Java UI Engineer


Job Description:
We are seeking software engineers willing to relocate to Coimbatore, TN, India as members of the core Dev team.
As an early engineer, Essential Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Design and develop web UI that will provide Rich User Experience with DHTML, CSS, object-oriented JavaScript, and server side Java layers.

Lead and participate in architectural decisions to achieve high reliability, availability and scalability.

Design and develop out-of-the-box solutions.

Work closely with product, quality engineering, and development team members to ensure a high quality product.

Ensure adherence to and help refine the best SDLC practices such as code reviews, unit testing, functional automation, user story analysis, continuous integration, etc.

Required Skills:

BS or MS in Computer Science with equivalent work experience (degrees from top universities a plus).

2-8 years of experience in software design and development and algorithm related solutions.

Excellent Rich UI web application development experience.

Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, JSON and Web services.

Solid knowledge of performance, cross-browser issues and strategies for designing compatible UI.

Experience with third party JavaScript libraries such as YUI, ExtJS, JQuery, Dojo, GWT, SmartGWT etc.

Experience in writing code using object-oriented JavaScript.

Experience in web applications unit testing frameworks such as Selenium.

Desired Skills:

Strong experience with object-oriented analysis, design and programming (OOA/OOD/OOP).

Strong skills in Java programming, Java design patterns and server side Java.

Experience with HTML5 and mobile apps is a big plus.

Experience with high volume and highly scalable application is a plus.

Independent, self-motivated team player. Meticulous and methodical in creating solutions

US or foreign countries experience in an internet startup companies a huge plus

Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Experience in short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and have worked on a product that was actually released for public consumption

Experience with Poker, Ping Pong(Table Tennis), Foosball a plus
