One more person joining your group - me. :).

I worked in Ahmedabad in IT field for 4 years and then worked in US for about 4 years in software engineering and having a good career here but don't feel living away from family anymore. I am also planning to move back and live only in Ahd by Christmas 2011. I want to do Uttarayan, 2012 in Ahd after I am back to home forever. :). Pachhi to ey ne undhiyu n jalebi with parents and masi/mama/fai/cousins etc. lolz :D.

Did you guys find any information about good companies (which has good quality of/challenging work and pays good salary). If so, please share with me.

I would appreciate if anybody can share with me some info on following points:
1) Reference of people who moved back to Ahmedabad from USA who work in IT. (I promise, I won't bother them too much, just a few questions. Their email id/IM would do great).
2) I am trying to understand how much do I deserve in Ahmedabad and getting no reliable ideas from internet. I understand that two s/w engineers with 5 years exp in Java might not deserve same salary. I do not just want to say I have 7.5+ yrs of exp and I am into Java API automation frameworks design. That won't be enough for anybody to guess. Hopefully, my package in India and current package in US can add a lil more insight to it. I was making Rs 60,000/month when I worked in Ahd in 2007. Currently, I am making $1,00,000+/anum+bonus+stocks+other benefits. I hope this data helps you to guess what do I deserve. Do you think asking for 12L/anum or more in Ahd would be reasonable? If not, please suggest what should be the approximately reasonable amount.
3) Bhavesh and hello1978, in any case would you be interested in working together with me to open something new and do something of own business? I've a small new idea in my mind, however no idea how to execute on it. I know 'what' to do but 'how' is the question so far. If you guys r interested, please, respond to this thread. You can also share your IM id(s) with me if you do not mind and interested in knowing that.

Hi Guys,

I am in Canada from last 7 years. I was in USA for 3 years before moving to Canada. I am also in planning of moving back to Ahmedabad and looking for business opportunity. I am software engineer and working on Linux based security devices and products. I am also ready to accept business opportunity in different field.

Do you think there is the opportunity to start business related to real estate? (like property management (renting out home, maintainance, buy and sell property)

Business related to students? (activity or self-motivation classes which will helpfull to each student)

I know there are already lot of competition in these fields but I think there will be always competition for any field you will choose. We have to come up with better output and customer satisfication.

Any suggestion for different business opportunity in ahmedabad will be appriciated.
