Old-Spice2;584863Rules have changed in Modi's India. FRRO registration for foreigners have been abolished. Police verification for issue of passport is cancelled (not sure about this). Lot of unwanted procedures are being eliminated and red tape reduced. Check for the latest rules from govt website.
I want Modi to eliminate the need to carry US PP with OCI sticker along with OCI booklet. I shall email him tonight!
May be renewal etc. can be removed too. Initially when they started OCI it was supposed to be a lifelong booklet that need not be renewed, now we are supposed to get a new booklet every now and then.
