Return to Mumbai - need help

I am returning to Mumbai on 14th of May and I am very new to Mumbai. My office is going to be in Goregaon(W). I need help to decide where I should stay, so I get close to work and good school (preferably International School). Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Staying in Jogeshwari(W)/Goregaon(W)/Malad(W) on the Link Road will bring you closer to Goregaon(W).
Mall in Malad(W) (specially Hypercity) should suffice for your day-to-day needs.
You can prefer to stay in Lokhandwala too. The traffic on Link Road is flowing traffic.

Regarding school, I heard BillaBong is good..(Make sure they got the certification..). If nothing then there are lots of good schools in Andheri(W) namely - Arya Vidya Mandir

You might also want to check out Yashodham Gokuldham Area in Goreagon (East). It has a number of reputed schools in the area and will be close to your place of work.

Place to stay:

Goregaon(w) Bangur Nagar,
Goregaon(W) - Near the Mall, There are lot of colonies there...Bhoomi classic etc..decent place to stay

Malad(w) - Near Evershine nagar its good.

Ryan International School is good from what I hear.

You can also look for acco in Malad, Kandivili, Borivili. Its very close to Goregaon. 5-10 mins drive to Goregaon.

I am returning back in May and would like to rent 3 BHK flat for rent in Mallard-W, Goregaon W, Juhu, Vile Parle (20K to 35K rent). Please let me know.

Hope you have R2Ied already. If you are still in the market for apartment, then you might want to checkout some high rises in the Gokuldham & Aarey Milk colony area in Goregaon(E).
Please post your experience regarding your return to Mumbai/Goregaon. There are very few post about r2mumbai experience and I am sure people with r2mumbai plans (including me) will love to hear from you.

Ambarnath is a very distant suburb of Mumbai and I don't think there may be good facilities around there. I lived close to Ambarnath but that was about 12 years ago. There are many new developments now and areas around Ambarnath still has some affordable real estate prices so many new developments are happening around that area. So there is some chance that you will find out something. I wish I could suggest something in Ambarnath.

the closest good town that I know is Thane and areas in Navi Mumbai like Vashi, Nerul and Belapur. You will find good schools around Thane area and commute from Thane to Ambarnath should be comfortable using local trains as you will be going against the traffic. Vashi, Nerul area is also good but you will need a car to travel to Ambarnath from there. I have a friend who just relocated to Vashi from CT and his kid is going to International School there and he says the school is good though expensive.
