Typically in Maharashtra, Diwali is celebrated over 5 (6) days as follows:

Vasu Baras (not sure how many people celebrate it in big way)

Dhan Trayodashi (Dhan Teras)

Narak Chaturdashi

Laxmi Pujan (Main Diwali day)

Padwa (New Year Day)

Bhaubeej (Bhayiduj)[/LIST]This year it will be from 6th to 11th Nov, 2007 in the above sequence.

Indian stock markets are already celebrating Diwali with historic gains.

I have a powerpoint presentation I once presented for a Diwali celebration in my company. Everyone liked it a lot ...even the Chinese programmers.
It's 2/3rds about India (some interesting facts) and 1/3 rd about Diwali.
