Modular Kitchen - Chennai

Post by Kannan »

I went through the threads but couldn?t find any discussion on Kitchen Cabinets in Chennai market

I am in touch with cookspace (www.cookspace.com) for my flat , do any one have experienced with cookspace.

Is there any other good modular kitchen guys in Chennai ( preferably would like to communicate on line thru websites and emails)

Eventhough there are few modular kitchen shops (Jaybharatham Furniture ) there is no web site or details

let me know how cookspace fares. we talked to ila kitches in alwarpet but they did not have their act together. there is some expensive place in r.a.puram that seemed competent (venteo cuicna or something - the name escapes me), but was out of our budget (their quote started at 6lakhs for the most basic of kitches), but they seemed fairly competent.

we are contemplating getting some local contractor types to do it and select the fittings from a catalog that these guys have. if you have a +ve experience w/ cookspace, i'd love to hear that.

Hi,
I went through the same dilemma of using cookspace vs. local. I found excellent local person in ECR area. For 3 BR and kitchen cabients, he charged around 3L for labor and wood (including kitchen chimney work). I am very much satisfied and neighbors commented that work is better than cookspace/others. He is very genuine and honest in his job.

Let me know if anyone wants his contact.

I would *strongly* suggest to go for custom made modular (type) kitchen. In my apartment complex (170 or more apartments), i've seen several people installed modular kitchen in very bad condition [doors broken, damage due to water etc etc], but mine is still rock solid and much better look.

If you do custom made kitchen, you can workout lot of ideas, finishes and quality. If anyone wants i can send some pics of my kitchen [2 years ago i spend 2 lacs].

All you have to do is to get ideas from internet, get a planning tool and design your own!

There is cookscape in Chennai. I have visited their Cenotaph branch. They had some good designs at reasonable price.
