USC working for Indian employer

I've an offer from an MNC in India. I'm a USC and I plan to get a visa before r2i due to shortage of time. A m I allowed to work for an Indian employer with this VISA?

I have an offer from Amreeki firm. Am living in India and am Indian citizen. I plan to get a visa before coming to Amreeka. Am I allowed to work for Amreeki firm with this VISA?

If you can answer my question, I will answer yours.

Got it..My ignorance..I just found out about the various VISAs. I've about a month before I leave for India. I think OCI is completely out of question. I came across a processing time of 15 business days for PIO card so I may be cuttting it too close.

Should I go with an employment VISA and then apply for OCI in India? Can someone that has applied for employment visa share more details about the documents, processing time etc.?

Thanks!

Yes, that's the only option.
