Few days back I was in Japan. The restaurants there provides Wet hot towels to their clients.
I saw a truckbringing these rolled wet towels in Trays and delivering to restaurants.

Could be a potential business idea in India aswell.
Presently Indian Bars and Restaurants outsource ICE CUBES. There is scope for Branding the wet towelettes and Ice cubes (local brands ).

What? which restaurant provide wet towels in India? are you Joking?. I've been monitoring this thread for sometime...as someone said, those who started good business do not blog on this thread about business ideas (include me). I am on this forum for more than 3 years & seen many business idea discussions but none seen forming a usefull partnership from this forum. Another thread just to throw ideas which are useless.

This an unique idea - it requires creativity and out of the box thinking to recognize and give serious thought to such things.

If promoted correctly this idea can quickly become the norm with restaurants in India.

I have been thinking in the lines of angelfoods that we have in USA
they make a ton of money

Temples are out of bounds and they are controllerd by govt

may be Sai baba temples are right place to get started and volunteers will be many if we sell it at low rates and may be have a few packets given to poor

every month u have a menu(list of veggies and their weight) for a pack and in ech location you have presigned up buyer
Taking the number of buyers /packs needed and stuff needed,we can procre directly from farmers.. Having farmer base is imp

Sounds very interesting. I haven't seen any restaurant in India providing wet towels so most people end up walking into their bathrooms to wash hands before a meal. SOme restaurants have a tap in a corner for that purpose.
However, as a customer, I would love to have warm (or cold in summer) hand towel to wipe hands and face (just like airlines) before embarking on the food journey.

I do not know if this is a good business idea or what kind of investment/connections/negotiations would be needed for such a venture but as a customer, I will appreciate such a service.

It would be great to have services that make handyman, maid, driver services reliable. Customers can pay premium for accountability and professional service. Intermediate company will ensure continuity in service and do background checks on the people that they place.

I remember restaurants in Hyderabad used to give a bowl with hot water and a piece of lemon in it (I think it is called finger bowl or some such thing) mostly after the meal to wash hands. This was not in some high end restaurants but in most biryani places. I think I have seen some places giving hot towels too. But I think they would prefer to keep that in house, and how hard is it to boil lot of water drop some towels and add camphor to it. Plus I don't think it is a high margin business.

My local Indian Restaurant in US here has wet towels, heated up in a microwave, and presented on a plate at the end of dinner.

Reusable, Environmentally friendly, heated up in less than a minute. If this can be done 'in-house', why outsource?
