Electric Dryer - kenmore to Bangalore

Post by subhap »

I was wondering if an Electric Dryer by Kenmore rated at 220V would work in Bangalore. Someone mentioned Power capacity issue. Meaning the power being supplied to the apartment or house might not be sufficient to handle the Electric Dryer needs.

Appreciate any answers in advance

If you can get a circuit wired with the required amp rating, you can use it. But why carry a dryer when you can buy one in India? Space will be always be an issue. Dryers may be a smaller capacity in India but it would fit the Indian homes/Flats. You get stackable washer/dryer which is a huge space saver.

Have faith. I know it is acrilige in this forum to depend on faith or on India, but we do have sufficient power to run an electric dryer. Especially now that usa may grant us pemission to erect some nuclear power.
