Hi,
Which shipper is best ( with less overhead costs) for low volume shipment to India.(less than 100 cft).
How about the alternate options, air cargo, dhl etc. I just have close to 15 x 4 CFT boxes.
Is it cheaper to do port to port for small shipments than door to door.

For my 100 CFT shipment, I am going ahead with worldwide shipping. Till now experience was good.( Quote to pickup)
Quote : I got a competitive quote from worldwide with clear itemized charges. t is not the cheapest quote, but was lesser than 3 other shippers. I liked the itemized charges and a per cft rate.
Package Instructions: Rayan was very helpful in providing package instructions and tips.
Pickup: Pickup promptly scheduled as requested. Driver has arrived on time as promised.
I will continue to provide updates on Package Tracking, Arrival Schedule, Customs Clearing and condition of goods.
btw: During quoting process Universal relocations disappointed me:e. looks like they are not interested in LCL shipments. They gave me a (higher) rate and later gave me an even higher rate. never bothered to explain what is going on.

I am trying to get a quote for my LCL to Chennai. Let me know if you guys have found a better quote. Universal quoted me higher than couple of other quotes. I have the same feeling as surias that they are not interested in LCL shipments.

Try Air India cargo, it seems to be reasonable.
To ship from Chicago to India (anywhere), minimum (must) 100 KG's is $350 (cash only). Only personal belonging's. If the items are under $2500, no US customs clearance is required. It takes 2 weeks to arrive and the same person has to pick it up at the destination. Indian customs has to be cleared at the destination.

what a pity. seems this service is only from chicago and that too in person. its awesome 100kgs for 350dollars.
so i cant even ship it to them from new york as they accept only personal packages
