Try this piece from local RadioShack ( 30 days return policy ) if it’s working out for you, it can pull many channels, with a 100% digital picture. If it works, you can always buy from E-bay at a lower price and return that expensive one.

No offense intended. Just curiosity... Is Radioshack a charity organization? Do they operate to let people try out stuff from them?

No offense intended but if such advise really bothers then ignore it.

If stupid does not work then return it or if you can find it somewhere cheaper then return it. Nobody here cares if Radioshack is charity or not. They have policies and there are laws. Quit judging people.

Another question, for curiosity.. How do we make sure that our kids get these same good values? Do we tell them specifically? Or will they watch and learn?

But then I thought kids learn most of the stuff by judging their parents behaviour.. Here we are talking of our kids judging us.

I agree with you. Return policies have a purpose. They are intended to motivate us to try out a new thing. If we are not satisfied, then we are free to return it. The walmart example above was perfectly fine. However, in case of radioshack example, the sole purpose was to buy the thing, if you like it, return it to radishack and buy it cheaper at ebay. The return policy system is being misused in this case.

Purpose? What purpose? This is capitalism, greed (within limits of law) is our only purpose.

The point in question is… If I am misusing a policy, will my kid not learn by observing me? Forget a third party here. No one else is being observed…

Are you saying, I should misuse policy and then tell my kid. “Heh dude, please close your eyes to what I did just now. Please do not follow me. Do not judge me. There will be an inner voice that will teach you things. You should not be learning by observing me?”
