AIEEE eligibility for OCI candidate

Post by sunnyb786 »

I am new to this forum, tried various searches, couldn't get any relevant posts. I have applied for USC, interview will be in a couple of months. Planning to apply USC / OCI for my son. After doing this planning to R2I next year to Pune, Maharashtra. Me and my son were both born in Maharashtra, I think after having OCI this may not be relavant, please correct me. As I understand from other posts on this forum my son will not be eligible for state entrance exams (after 12th) for Engg and Medical colleges. Will he be eligible to appear for AIEEE / JEE? MH State colleges have seats for AIEEE as well, will he be able to get into Govt or Govt aided colleges based on his AIEEE score with OCI status? I heard that he can get into private colleges in NRI quota, is there a link to list of good colleges in maharashtra which have NRI quota as not all colleges will have this.

Helpful replies will be appreciated.

There is NIT quota in about 2000 seats. It based on SAT scores need min 1800. But fees is 7000USD per year now except for SAARC countries (about 3500USD).
