Tamil Nadu - Assembly Election Results & Politics

Post by hope4best »

I salute the people of Tamilnadu for defeating and punishing the most Corrupt regime of Karunanidhi. As a Tamilian living 10k miles away, I was hoping my fellow Tamilians would do Tamilnadu and India a huge favor by proving they are smart and they will do the right thing for the good of the nation - and they sure did indeed. Proud of you all!!

Congratulations Tamilnadu and India!! :emrose::emrose::emrose::emrose::emrose:

Very happy to see the earlier trends. Despite taking my Ration Card/ PAN card etc. to the electoral officer and requesting to vote, I was refused ( as my name wasn't there on electoral rolls). Of course, I would've voted for ADMK (more against Manmohan Singh).

Good thing about this election is that from next time, no party will dare to give the money to voter.

They had to wait for polls in other states to get over. Kudos to Election commission for doing such a stupendous job. Very pleasantly surprised that there not much of violence in TN. But as per reports, expect some violence in West Bengal in the next few days.

Good news is communists are wiped out in WestBengal!!!
Hope its the same in Kerala, unfortunately commies has 67 seats in TN thanks to aatha.

--

All opinion polls indicated very well they were happy with the industrial progress in TN,and the main issue was corruption and mostly nepotism and Alagiri.
Hope PMK and Alagiri cronies gets defeated soundly and thrown out of TN, India or wherever forever.

So now Sasikala will rule the state again and show the same old authoritarianism.

PS: I am happy for FFH though. :)

Yeah, big congratulations sure. Now, prepared for TamilNadu to get raped for the next five years. The Amma wants to "best" the "corruption score" record set by the previous govt - such is the ego of the politicians.

DMK did a good job with the infrastructure development. But they screwed up with the corruption scandals at every level and Alagiri rowdyism and they were screwed by the inability to bribe the voters off.

Thanks.

Have you seen any complaints about Jaya's rule in 2001-2006. She dared Karunanidhi to take her to court for her rule in 2001-2006. Karunanidhi politely refused saying let the other cases finish :) (Jaya has been acquitted in 11 of the 13 cases when Karuna is in power). Her rule in 1991-1996 was an atrocity. No denying that. 2001-2006 was different.

I am not expecting any magic from ADMK. Just hoping for a better rule than DMK, which should be a piece of cake.

At least Jaya doesn't have entire clan to collect wealth for. Just herself. Entire karuna clan was looting the state. The lesser of two evils.
