Hello:
I am moving to India as an Expat, we will be living in Powai and are looking at options for International Schools. Since our moving date will be in mid August, we are looking for school whose sessions starts later in the year. Oberoi looks promising but if we could find more reviews on experiences of folks in that school. Also if someone could highlight the commute from Powai that would be great.
Any information would be highly appreciated.
PS: I did look through the posts already on the forum and could not find reviews/commute information. Apologize if this is repeat.

Can comment on the commute, but not much about the school.
If your kid is travelling from Powai to Oberoi during the morning hours in a school bus or a car,
then the traffic will be pretty minimal. There might be some traffic trying to reach the western
express highway from Powai (via JVLR), but after that it is heading in the reverse direction so
should be pretty empty. As the peak traffic heads south on the highway during the early AM
hours, and the school is towards north. An alternate route to get to the school from Powai
would be the Aarey road, it is the most scenic drive in Mumbai, if there is no traffic.
Infrastructure wise Oberoi has a lot to offer - nice school site, swimming, tennis, huge playground,
etc. But no first hand experience with the school. They might be following the IB curriculum like the
rest of the international schools and might be on the pricey side when compared to other IB schools.
Hope this helps....
