I have been wanting to post for awhile, but life has caught up with me. Many thanks to this site and people who post often in this forums.
Background : Lived all over India before moving to US and same is true with my better half. As said US is mecca for IT guy, so was it for me.
On top of it grew up watching Hollywood movies in the clubhouse and way back made unsuccessful attempt to do MS before the consulate folks rejected my visa.
after 11 years of stay came back to India 6 months ago. Never really bothered to get GC/USC. So we are 50% USC (Kids) & 50% Indian (we parents)
Stay in US : Enjoyed travel, food, friends, nature. Travelled/drove a lot... coast coast & border border. Unfortunately could not drive to Alaska :).
Finance : Earned, spent, saved. To bring in diversification making use of 60K limit per head will continue to invest in VTI & VEU.
Life in India : Taking it as it served. Its like bollyhood cinema, boy is running and we are shown his bare legs & chappal and slowly that transforms into shoes and pants.
In 11 years I/we missed this boy grow. Now need to get acquainted with this new adult. Children do mention sometimes about the house & school in US. They will get used it and
learn change is the only constant thing in life.
So far so good and going by the motto "Life is a journey, not a destination".
Once gain this is great forum.
