2 weeks Christmas vacation...how do I best use it?

Post by myr2idreams »

I am taking 2 weeks Christmas vacation from 17 Dec - Jan 3. Thinking about what is the best way I can be productive? I am in NY so trying to learn something new in the cold weather!

Having 10 years of IT ex., I am thinking about some certification, not sure.

I have 2 kids ( 4 and 6 months), so I will buy a house next year. Is there a way I can be productive to learn real estate knowledge? Contemplating real estate salesperson license, takes 2 weeks but not sure how it will be really helpful.

Please let me know if you guys have any idea or thoughts.

Thanks and Regards.

Well, depends upon your goals. Do you have anything to work on short term? such as PMP, technical certification? If yes, try to prepare for that.
Learn on investing if inclined !!

If still nothing, just help your wife to clean up the house, clean up/ scan your old papers into soft copies and shred them (the ones you don't need papers for).
Or best yet - sleep and watch movies :) Have fun

If you and spouse don't have a good will (and maybe a living trust too if planning to buy a home) in place, getting that done or started would be worth it, even without yet owning a house. Once upon a time, I had some more than usual time on hands and happened to read this old post and like member Mel there, I got moving.
