For those who are in or near Kochi, interesting outdoor art exhibition going on in Fort Kochi. It is apparently an annual affair. More info at http://kochimuzirisbiennale.org/
There are also collateral project. http://kochimuzirisbiennale.org/collateral-projects/
One artist is renovating an old temple courtyard to make it a place for social interaction. That looks interesting to me...kind of like gentrification.

Kochi Outdoor art exhibition
Its a biennial event-happened 2 years ago for the first time. Called the Muziris Biennale.
THere are several exhibitoions shows across many venues that are fairly spread out. 3-4 are in Fort Kochi. Some of these exhibits are really impressive and some-banal or amy be its just me who doesnt know enough to appreciate them. The exhibitition is on until end March but its hot and humid now, so to be well prepared.
Fort Kochi on its own merits a visit. Quaint rather European seaside town kind of ambience.

Thanks Sumachechi for correcting it. Would you know why it is called Kochi-Muziris? What is Muziris? Looks arabic to me. Also saw some photos, it looks like they have converted some outdoor spaces into art

I believe 'Mujiris' is the name of the place. It could well be derived from Arabic as Kerala had lot of seafaring trade with Arabia.
Perhaps Suma knows better.

Isn't Fort Kochi is where the old synagog and the jewish shops are ? I had been there on a guided tour.
