Bangalore -- To Settle or Not to Settle

I think Bangalore is the best city in India to settle down. Reasons are:

a. Salubrious weather (the best weather in India with the exception of hill stations)
b. Cosmopolitan city
c. Friendly people
d. Still affordable compared to Delhi/Mumbai
e. With Metro expanding and more ring roads being build, traffic could get better

For NRIs planning for retirement, townships like Ozone Urbana or Brigade Orchards offer tremendous facilities. Most of these are being developed closer to the airport where the crowds are very less. Moreover these townships offer schools, hospitals, shopping malls, senior living centers, offices all in the same townships. Imagine living in a township where you are within a few minutes from everything you need for a safe and peaceful living.

+ great location to cover south India. Lot of interesting locations within driving distance cover on weekends.
- Traaffic and relatively higher cost of living.

My thoughts of Bangalore resonates with Poofygoogle's comment above. I love visiting the place, the restaurants, shopping etc. Looking at my relatives living there, there is good availability and affordability of maids, cooks and several other services.

Every time I visit, one single thing that puts me off is the traffic. If one is able to work from home, then Bangalore looks great.
