Apply for OCI in India

Hello All

We would be relocating to India soon with US Passport ,Indian Visa and renunciation certificate . We have a deadline date to move due to personal reasons so it will not be feasible to apply in US . Can we apply for OCI in India .

We applied for OCI in India. No issues. Of course, it was ten years back.

I remember seeing posts in this forum where someone did face challenges applying for OCI from India...pls do a search in the forum

You can apply for OCI from India. The timelines may differ a bit here and there.

Make sure you go through the FRRO office and find out depending on the city where you will be applying.

Would like to hear from you reg. OCI in chennai. your location says chennai so i m assuming you would have applied from chennai.

I have to renew for my kids next year and would like to know the process
