One of my friend named his child as Hardik. And he was 6 years old in the US then. I am not in touch with him anymore but I can imagine the plight of the now teenaged boy.

Hmmm... why are all suggestion for boy names?? Did you guys assume the baby is a boy? or you wish for it to be a boy?
And to the OP... really? You can't think of names? And you give no specifics, boy or girl, starting letter, rare, modern... nothing. If it is for your own kid, you are just being incredibly lazy.
Google for Indian baby names.. If you prefer Hindu traditional or god-related names... refer to one of the sahasranama's (Vishnu, Lalitha etc)... you will get ton of options.

Very true, one of my friend changed his son's name from Rishit to Rishi when the kid was 7 years old.
