Non IT people looking for jobs in India 2017

Getting a job for Mechanical Engineering position is tough in India, unless you have got "solid" contacts inside the industry. It's now been about 5 unsuccessful months for me. I am located in Pune and willing to re-locate anywhere in India. I've got about 5.5 years of experience with major chunk of it in diesel/ natural gas engines.

I would suggest to have an offer in hand before you plan on leaving the US (or any other country).

Also, naukri is the only legit job search site used by majority of recruiters and companies. Times job site to a very little extent. Be prepared to receive a number of scam calls and learn how to screen them (ask for job description, ask if they charge candidates...etc).

Why the secrecy to keep the discussion private?

Without giving specific details of employer, an update will surely help the next mechanical engineer visiting the forum looking for similar information.

Hello direstraits88, The purpose of the forum was to share personal experiences and network with fellow friends who are in similar situation.
The decision to network and keep discussion through emails was based on my personal preference of privacy nothing to do with secrecy, it's privacy hope this clarifies any of your doubt.
Between to answer your specific question i have landed a job with a German company in Automotive sector. I am open to share and network with any fellow friend through email again.
