5 crore is needed to wake up in the morning and stare at roof until you figure out greater purpose of life. So people are wondering whether it will be better to stare at an Indian roof than a US (or other such promised land ) roof.

An Indian roof is better than any other roof. But, the problem is people are ringing the bell all the time. I do not know what they want.

Provided your immune system is excellent to cope up with different environment and food and water in India. Therefore just wealth is not enough to survive in India for NRIs who stayed out side India for very long time you need to have very good health and determination to survive various other factors which you all know what I mean and I do not have to elaborate on them.

Even if your immune system is excellent, it shall be destroyed after you come to India.

Seriously, from what I know, 90% of people will quit their jobs if they had enough money to pay the bills for 20-30 years. To my knowledge upto 80% of jobs grind your brain to dust in fact most of them crush your soul with stress.

I love staring at the roof. You have no idea. It is so beautiful and pleasurable. Especially in India where the roof is flat, white and a good six feet above my head. I love smelling flowers also, but you need a private garden to do that, so that Indians don't spoil your pleasure.

And I agree. Jobs are awful. Can't wait for Basic Income. I think you have enough money to retire. Just stay at home and enjoy yourself.

Here is a home which is right now on sale, it has a garden with flowers in the front and backyard has enough space for kids to run around. And it has nice view of the lake in the backside of property. And its not some home on internet, its available for sale with a price within the reach of most middle class folks of this town.

Shouldn't it account for inflation as well? Because, if I fast forward to my retirement age, say of 60 & say I have 1 kid (although he or she has already become independent), the total comes to 2 crores, which cannot be right. Unless the formula only applies as of today or whenever one reads this post.

How did you find out everybody's age and came to the answer 36L? You have two variables "kids and age", but with just one variable "kids=3", you directly derived 36L =0.36 crores. Wow! :p


Let's say it is a family of 3 kids:


3+{(60-a)*0.1}=0.36
6-0.a = -3+0.36
6-0.a = -2.64
-0.a = -8.64
a = 80.64

So your assumed age for 36L per year requirement is 80? Am I wrong in my algebra here?
