From what I have heard, RBI, CBI, Income tax etc are already in control of the ruling party and they have been used as a tool to beat down opposition.
From what I have heard, most of the media is also owned by their people with few exceptions.
And If I am not wrong they also appointed their man to the post of chief justice.

My hunch is, after BJP wins election in 2019, they will go after everyone criticisizing them or supporting opposition party(this maybe already happening with all those income tax raids).
In effect India will become a one party rule where to survive you better stop supporting opposition or saying anything in public against BJP and its allies.
I guess we the people get what we wish for.
I hope this does not happen because it nevers turns out good for common people of a country under totalitarian rule not to mention the loss of freedom.

Is India heading towards totalitarian/Authoritarian rule
Were you not concerned in the past 70 years ? About every post going to Chamchas in every sphere...Why this sudden awakening when BJP is in power ?
=====
That said , India needs totalitarian administration...Look at the fight between CJI and other Judges..This is just so stupid..Indian cant stand each other, constantly fight amongst themselves and are an unstable society. There is Chaos . Barring some individual brilliance by some sections of society ( 10-20%) , there is apathy ..

Do you mean India needs totalitarian administration like what Iran has or somewhat similar to Russia or maybe North Korea?

More like LKY of Singapore; or their equivalents in other Asian tigers during their high growth between 60s and 90s.

Was LKY driven by religious militants and had leaders like Yogi? Or had groups like gau rakshak dal?
I am equating with Iran, because the current group in power want to establish Hindu republic of India.

Personally, I am concernced that for the past 70 years every post has been going to Chamchas...and clearly things have not worked out. All the more reason not to continue on that path.

If India needs totalitarian administration then why the concern for the past 70 years when apparently we had that?? Why this mixed message?

It is always the norm for the ruling party to fill the top posts like RBI Governor, CBI director, CJ with people more aligned to their party. After UP elections, everybody thought 2019 is a cake walk for BJP. But now with RaGa making fewer and fewer mistakes, and BJP fringe elements making too much noise, it doesn't look so simple anymore.
Better RaGa than more of Karni Sena/RamSena/Hanuman sena and god knows what sena waving saffron flags on our roads. I'm all in for cultural revival and self respect movement for Hinduism but what I see on the roads is pure hysteria.
Me and my immediate family who voted for TDP/BJP alliance during last elections would not vote for TDP if they are still with BJP during next elections(Telangana). We have too many regional parties to have one party rule. I think time is ripe for a third front. Not for 2019 because BJP is still strong for 2019 but maybe for 2024?

Chances of India becoming a totalitarian state are as good as it becoming a superpower. Such canards are spread by only ppl who want a hopeless Pappu to become PM. They cannot digest a patriotic PM who doesn’t care about their convenient arrangements with those in power.
There are many within India to pull down someone. If not from within, there are always outsiders. So no chance of India going there.

No, I meant the lieders (which I mentioned in my post) which could have manned India's administration during initial years. That time is gone now.
Those countries were authoritative and imposed rules, besides fixing the social structure and economic system of their states. Only when the country made significant strides is when they loosened up a little.
