soxfan;721613Joe Biden is going to be president of USA from Jan 2021- Jan 2025...what are your expectations, hopes; and predictions/fears of pitfalls and obstacles. How do you think Biden-Harris admin will approach each issue going forward. Will we leave Trump years behind and come back reasonably-together or forever divided into extreme partisanship. What do you think would be the biggest impact of Biden-Harris 1st term when we look back in late-2024.
Any views/opinions are welcome but please leave this thread of any Trump bashing - there are other threads for that (some references maybe inevitable....but creating this thread to share your personal hopes/expectations of for Biden's 1st term presidency).
I will start:
As an optimist...I am hoping that the biggest impact of Biden-Harris admin would be:1. Return of Civility
2. Return of Humility
3. Return of Unity
4. Return of Science and Innovations
5. Return of US Leadership in the World Politics
Return of civility/humility/unity - IMO Biden is uniquely qualified for this time - I hope he will make the politics boring again :)) (Make American-politics Boring Again - MABA). Make politics about policy and ideology differences rather than public humiliation. I am hoping he will make science and scientists prominent in his admin - make people understand that pandemic is real and beyond ideology. Hope he will make US respectable in international relations.
Apprehension/worry: with senate trending to be under republican control, this maybe a lame-duck presidency in terms of domestic policy.
Has Biden been declared President by the certified government agencies? AFAIK, only the MSM has declared him to be the President.
8 years back, the media had declared Kerry to be the new President but then Bush became President three weeks later.
It?s 2020. No one trusts the MSM any more.
