Thoughts about college - US & India

Hi All,
We currently live in US. We have 2 kids 6th grader(boy) and 3rd grader(daughter). We were planning to move back to India last year, but it didn't work out as my hubby couldn't find a suitable opportunity back then. But now, some of my friends suggests that we should live in US as college studies are better here.(is it really true?) But, I know it is really expensive here(I am really worried). I am terribly confused. I personally prefer moving to India(chennai or Bangalore.) as we have family there. At the same time, I don't want to do injustice to my kids. I would like to hear input frothers use.

We can use this thread to share our opinions in comparison between Indian & US colleges..
