How do you store husband's or near one's contact number in cellphone?

Post by RBee »

Some friends say that they store their husband's name as 'Honey', 'Dearie','Idiot', 'Stupid', 'Dumbo'..Some say that they store as "Dad", "Papa" etc. They say that their husbands too store their wife's number in creative way like above or with added emphasis on their attributes.

But would that not hinder First responder's ability to reach your first contact in case of emergency or accident or some unforeseen circumstance? What is wrong in saving as 'My Husband' or 'My wife' ? Problem with storing as Dad/Papa/Mommy/Mom is the cops/emergency might think them as your parents..

What do you think ?

For emergency pupose store name as ICE and if more than on ICE1, ICE2 etc. It is standard conventions for Emergency responder

I stored the nos as my wife's contact nos instead of name. This will be easier to communicate in case of an emergency. Similarly her cell no has my husband's contact nos.

I store mine as "1st Lady".
This way, 1 makes it appear at the top of the list and keeps wifey happy too!

Some send phone numbers as business card to others. Dont send your wife number that way to any one.
Then she will not be "1st lady" for you alone !!! :))

Frankly, I think that it does not make too much difference what you store it as.

First responders are occupied in saving lives and not so much concerned about calling the next of kin (that is done much later from the hospital).

These days with smartphones having a lot of valuable information and many people using the mobile for financial transactions it is adviced that one should lock the phone with a PIN - in which case the whole point is moot.
