Pre R2I Trip - USA to Chennai

Plan to R2I delayed by few month, making a pre R2I trip Nov 2011 to finish School and Home finalization. Any R2I'ed folks want anything imp from US , am open to helping out.

Just FYI that the new Magic Jack without need for computer is out for $70 and annual ren for $30.

If you post your prep for Pre-R2I and groundwork in Chennai in detail, it would be helpful.

R2I in Nov delayed as I though getting into school mid year might be challenging and also finding a job as its year end and typically even Employers in India follow the US in terms of keeping low 'bench' employees. March/April is the time I am R2I. Schools typically have started the admission process by issuing forms again this is a Real estate industry gimmick to make money. Forms cost money and then pay fees so if decision on school changes in 6 months you loose quite a lot and schools make a furtune for free.

Which school are you planning to send your kids to and do the parents have to be there to get application forms or is it okay for grandparents to get them?

Vidya Mandir Adyar - Dont know yet
Hindu School Adyar - They are adding a new building block so sections being added in every class. Fees abt 20 K INR too many students in a class.
Sunshine velacherry - easy to get its 40K INR ad fees and school fees abt 60K but AC class rooms and low Student - Teacher ratio
Sankara (International) Tambaram - Ac Classroom, very low student teacher ration smart board. Fees 60K INR. Forms anyone can take they are issuing right now.

Most Schools are issuing forms now and any one can get them.
