Need advice on packing a quilt

I need some advice on carrying a quilt. As if a 20 ft container full of stuff was not enough, my wife decided to order a nice quilt online and asked me to bring it with me. Now I have the task of packing it into my 29" spinner. Having never packed a quilt or anything close to it in a suitcase, I am at a loss here. The quilt hasnt arrived so I dont know how big that is, but any ideas how I am going to shove it into the suitcase? I never used a vacuum bag, but would that be helpful in this case?

Yes. Buy the space bag and use a vacuum cleaner to compress it flat. Quilt will compress pretty good. You can get a large size space bag in Walmart for 2-3 dollars.
