What are good restaurants in London and and around? South Indian and Gujrati specially !!!

If you can put your recommendations as to ones which are good for business lunches / dinners and one good for family eatings and ones for both that will be great.

For family :

1) Sakoni (Gujrathi style buffet, almost 30 varieties, good food esp. for children, reasonably priced. Located at Harrow, Alperton and somewhere in East London. I have tried Harrow and is very good better than the Wembley/Alperton one, pure vegetarian.)
Location : next to harrow safari cinema. Google for driving instructions etc.

2) Chennai dosa - i felt it was the best south indian food i tasted after India. There may be others but i know this one. Very reasonably priced. Very good for family, children adn friends.
www.chennaidosa.com
Options : both veg and non veg.

www.upmystreet.com should give you all the restaurant sin all categories.

I will post a few more later. In a hurry (weekend has started, will probably go to chennai dosa )

I tried Tulsi. It is a moderately good restaurant.

Does any one recommend any Goan or Gult restaurants in London?

MeraNaseebR2I;10189Nothing better than
Sarvanaa Bhavan http://www.saravanaabhavan.co.uk/

Mmm Mmm Mmm

Here's the address:

East Ham
300, High Street North,
Manor Park,
London - E12 6SA, U.K.
Ph: 44 208 552 4677
Fax: 44 208 548 9454

Voted the best Fast Food South Indian place in London 3 years in a row.[/quote]

Is there a hindu temple near this place? If yes, how far it is from the restaurant, what are the openining times? Is there a website for the temple?

If I go there from a distance - I would like to do two things in same visit....:)

TIA

#10 b2b,

I have posted some info on the other thread 'Places to visit around London', about Religious places and Temples that serve proper meals as prasad.
At some places (like Neasden) there are paid cafeterias as well.
