I have the option of choosing from 3 models:
a) Blackberry 8300 (Curve)
b) Blackberry Pearl
c) Blackberry 8800.
I have the specs for each one and read them but am still confused.
What are your experiences? Which one should I choose and why?
Thanks for your input.

What Blackberry to choose?
Anyone else with experience with more than one of these models? Any suggestions on why to choose one versus the other?

I have Pearl and Blackjack. Love both. Pearl is good and has a very small form factor. Note that the bluetooth compatibility for Pearl does not allow for songs to be played through blue tooth. One or both of the other models does have this profile A2DP (sp?). Check that if its important for you.

No exp. with more than one model.
But we have 8100 base model(pearl?), no GPS.
The 88xx and 83xx have higher screen resolutions, GPS plus hot spot capabilities. If employer is giving, go for the latest and greatest model in either one of the series. They are wider but sleeker than 8100 models (seen them with peers).

Don't know if you have 8700 option, but I love that baby. Get the closest one to 8700, if that is not available (it is a 18 month old model). Emailing is piece of cake - Sometimes I send 20-30 emails a day, not necessarily 2 liners, from that.
Battery life is excellent. Some days after 60 minutes of calling, 50 emails both ways, conferencing 3 lines at a time, still mine will have enough juice for 1 more hour of call.
Very easy on your eyes - My setting allows 15 rows and 50 char in each line. Sometimes, I can read the entire R2IClubforums posts with 10-20 page scrolls while on the move.
Tough - I have dropped mine at least 10 times this year itself.
Depending upon your carrier (GSM?), you can use it effectively in India during travel.
The downsides are, size (big) and phone quality (speaker is very good, but the regular mode is just average). When phone disconnects (signal lost) it makes an annoying beep sound.
