The Doom and Gloom Thread
Thank you, Ready2MoveIn, sid_earth. And I thought I was pessimistic about the world economy based on what (little) I knew. You guys know more than I do. I get the sense from the posts and other resources posted that we are headed for (high) inflation (atleast in what WE consume, like food and fuel ...

The Doom and Gloom Thread

avasanth, I would like to add to your post: Gold price is not free market determined, it is fixed, twice a day, by 5 players. It is called Gold Fixing (what else?) :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_fixing
Apparently, so are Silver, Platinum and Palladium.

Buying a Car in India
Hi all! Has anyone thought about a Tata Indica Vista? I have had good experiences with this car (rental, hired for a New Delhi - Uttarakhand trip), the overall impression is that of a comfortable yet sturdy vehicle, with the diesel not being too much of an inconvenience. Never drove one though.

First Love
My most vivid memory of my first love is me in the arms of another girl, crying like a baby. N was not my first girlfriend, nor was she the most beautiful girl ever. But she was my first love. We had this strong connection that was just too much to ignore. We met in a UPSC coaching class, I still ...
