Travelling to India - Where to buy tickets
Try www.sidestep.com it searches most travel websites such as orbitz etc. simultaneously and gives you the lowest price. I have bought tickets directly from the Airlines website for US-India about 10 times so far (Delta, KLM/NW, Cathay, AA, Lufthansa, BA etc ...

I watched Krazzy4. Hard to tell if No Smoking or Krazzy4 was the worst movie produced in India in past 12 months, but they are definitely the worst 2.
If you still plan to watch it, you have been warned.

Oh..the privileges of being a MP
Why does the rich NRI MP needs to be escorted? Why couldn't he walk on his own?
I think we might be speculating here. I haven't been to the VIP lounge in Kozhikode but I would doubt that the lounge contains any real time arrival/departure info. Or perhaps he needed to be ...

Oh..the privileges of being a MP
I have been on a flight that was delayed for a few minutes to let Shah Rukh Khan get on board and nobody seemed to mind. From what I gather, the MP was actually at the airport even before the flight landed, but was ecorted out of the VIP lounge a little late by the airport manager etc. Also, I am ...
Was Tendulkar the reason we lost this test too, to an innings defeat? I might be wrong - but I think the middle order is getting quite jaded these days. Off with their heads and bring in the pups again? Maybe Dhoni knew what he was talking about when he wanted an young ...

How to avoid entry load for SIP for Indian MF
I started downloading the Forms, and it seems that HDFC was still charging entry load of 2.25% for SIP for its popular funds (HDFC Equity) even if investing directly through them (if I were to believe the 'non-broker' downloaded form). I need to follow up with them though and will post my findings ...
It probably is also a reflection of how kids are brought up generally in India. They are taught to work hard at studies and aim for the sky, but not told to behave as good citizens and exhibit good civic behavior (such as abide by the law, do not litter, help those who need ...
Fund houses are reluctant in removing the agent name from the portfolio. Further big brokerages like icicidirect etc has some clout still with fund houses. As long as you buy from icicidirect or another bank-cum-mutual fund account, you will continue to pay the entry load. Download ...
