Do you count India liquid assets as part of your net-worth ??
Say we dont know if it is going to 10cr or 13 cr .. ignore it ? You can always put an conservative estimate or rental value multipliers.
It is personal preference. Do you count India liquid assets as part of your net-worth ??

If you can determine fairly accurate market price of the the liquid assets in India, I would include them. For example, stocks, MF, ETFs

It is difficult to get a accurate market price of real estate in India unless you are actually selling it. Therefore I would exclude it.
Just my 2 cents....

Anyone with First-hand experience selling RE in Post-Demonetization era

Desi, SC2364: Thank you for your input I am very worried about filing taxes in India and getting back my TDS. I haven't (not required to ) filed taxes in India for the last 20+ years. Back in mid-90s getting a refund from GOI was a painful long process, especially if the amount was big. Any ...

Anyone with First-hand experience selling RE in Post-Demonetization era

Desi, Did the seller pay by check/Demand Draft/Bank Transfer? Did you transfer the money to US or kept it in India? How long did it take you to complete the transaction? That is the time from you and seller reaching an agreement on price to all the paper work being complete and you getting the money ...

Anyone with First-hand experience selling RE in Post-Demonetization era

Does anyone have experience selling real estate, in Pune especially, in the post-demonetization?

Earlier for resale the transactions used to be 60-40 meaning 40% black in cash. How does it work now?
Any insight or guidance?
It is not as black and white but several shades of grey. My YS was employed by a usa company in the UK. He was sent to Bombay at one stage. Convince teen kid to r2i

A word of caution to the OP, in this forum you will mostly hear success stories, few failures. In my opinion, voluntary R2I after 2nd grade is extremely disruptive for family. It is the parent's selfishness they are enforcing on their kids. Comments like "Kids will adjust" don't convey the trauma ...

College admissions - share your recent experiences

Try College Coach. A lot depends on the person assigned to you but you can change if you are unhappy. Very expensive if you are paying on your own. Many Fortune 500 companies provide their services as employee benefit.
