OCI eligibility of NIT's

Nehad, Candidates do have to take these multiple exams (JEE, VITEE, SRMEE, BIT-SAT) to be eligible for those colleges. All of them seem to be based on the NCERT syllabus. It has gotten much better/simpler with more and more institutes coming under the JEE umbrella.

OCI eligibility of NIT's

Just to be crystal clear, for an OCI/PIO, there is NO point in taking JEE-Mains for admissions to NITs/IIIT/CFTIs; Only exception is to try for IITs thru JEE-Mains and then JEE-Advanced.

Deciding on school

[QUOTE=Journeywoman;304629]Nat, I forgot to point out that my sister's experience of the school is from 2006-2007. Not sure if this feedbk still applies. One way to find out about schools is to Google or search yahoogroups for parent groups or associations. My kids will be going to Inventure, and I ...

Deciding on school

Deciding on school

Friends, I'm considering Vidya Shilp for my kids (7th and 3rd Grade) as work will be closer to Hebbal area. Any feedback/experience about the school. The next option is Inventure or Greenwood but it is far from where we want to be.

Appreciate your feedback. thx

"Good" salary for live-in maid

I think 'good' salary would be in the 4500 - 6000 range. I dont have personal experience but relating what a friend pays for a live-in maid.

Housing : Where to stay? How close to school / work?... Please advise

Friends, I will be moving to BLR shortly and office will be at Manyata Embassy Business Park. I'm thinking of putting the kids in Greenwood High or Inventure. Please recommend housing communities (Villas/Row-Houses) that is easy for the kids and not too difficult for me. Any good housing near Vidya ...

Relocating to India with teens

[QUOTE=LoveIndia;144496]#11 Confused - I understand that all kids are not equal in studies. However, even an average student can excel provided a good teacher teaches in such a way that they create interests in the subject even for an average student. I come from Chennai and all along my life I ...

Satish's R2I experiences to Chennai from Richmond

Good one Sathish. Hope the settling-in is going well. You've made great choices.. HSV is one of the best. The initial experiences could be real frustrating (RTO and the like) ...and then you get immune to it or stay away from it. People's civic sense is another big bother ...but again after a few ...
