MT: Schools in Mumbai
Here's what I found out. Billabong High in Juhu is still under Kangaroo kids management. There is another very well established school in Goregaon (it's on Link road) which used to be Kangaroo kids' Billabong High. But as someone mentioned, Rustom Kerawalla foundation now runs it ...
We are considering Ballabong in Juhu. Any feedback on this? What is the typical fee structure. We also liked PrimeAcadamey.
Hmm!! Haven't heard of this one. Are you referring to the Billabong in the Juhu link road, right next to SNDT? If yes, that's the one in which our ...

Appreciate your feedback. We took the Billabong admission as a place holder. Otherwise wifey would have refused to make the R2I move!! They seem to have the affiliation in place. A friend who sends her kids to Kangaroo seems to have done some research and was comfortable enroling her own kid at ...

MT: Schools in Mumbai

We will be in Mumbai by mid-April. We spent 2 weeks in Jan, trying to meet as many schools as possible. Jan is not the best time, but didn't have much control over the timing. Most of the schools we were interested in didn't seem to have any openings for First grade (for my daughter). But we managed ...

R2I Checklist : To-Do before R2I - open for discussion

I checked the JPMorgan Chase site; they let you specify a non-US address. This is beginning to look good.

R2I Checklist : To-Do before R2I - open for discussion

I have this savings account with ING direct. I just called them and they say they cannot accept a non-US address. I guess I can just leave my current address as is with them; I am on e-docs with them anyway. All I receive from these guys is junk anyway.

Ok. I just checked Vanguard. Their change of address page let's you specify a non-US address. Now on to the others. I'll post updates here.

R2I Checklist : To-Do before R2I - open for discussion

Desi,

Point noted. I guess I hadn't thought through the whole thing. That's where this portal adds value. Let me check with the Vanguards and Fidelity's of the world and find out if they will accept an overseas mailing address (at least for the tax papers).

Thanks.

R2I Checklist : To-Do before R2I - open for discussion

Has anyone explored the use of mailbox services operated by UPS store and others? I did a google search and it appears as if there are numerous firms, though I presume one would prefer to stick with known/reputed firms. And there is this issue of cost; 15-20 USD per month can quickly add up over the ...
