i am from India but presently working in Gulf and now planning to move in U.k as what i came to know about salary is 22,000 to 25,000 pund per annum.and my wife will also work .
before i thought only one will work,mbut now looking at situation thinking both will work.

but is this salary is enough if i include both salary it will go to 40,000-42,000 per annum. we both are from medical field.

if anybody moved recently pls give me idea.

i read few post but that all are old post and saying its expensive and about taxes.

Looks kind of low.

But then I do not know your medical field and I was not in medicine except as a consumer.

Very low. Even software engineers make atleast 40K pounds per annum and you won't save much. 100k pounds per annum is good.

Yes 20k - 30k is considered low and if your job is in south-east england then its not really worth unless you are confident of career climb.

What visa route you are aiming at? Be aware that you can only get permanent residency in UK after 5 years and only under certain categories.


For others, like intra-company transfer, it is not possible to get residency at all under current immigration rules (for non-EU nationals).
